Poster and demo sessions

These sessions are completely devoted to posters and demos, with no parallel lectures. Abstract submission for participating with a poster or a demo opened February 4th and closed May 9th. All accepted abstracts will be published on-line and in the congress abstract book, each receiving a DOI identification number through the Frontiers in Neuroscience journal series. A small subset (three per workshop) of abstracts have been selected for short oral presentations at the appropriate workshop. The first author of every abstract was asked to choose the most suitable of the following topics:

1. General neuroinformatics
2. Computational neuroscience
3. Digital atlasing
4. Neuroimaging
5. Genomics and genetics
6. Large scale modeling
7. Neuromorphic engineering
8. Brain machine interface
9. Electrophysiology
10. Infrastructural and portal services
11. Clinical neuroinformatics
12. Sustainability

The abstracts of the Neuroinformatics 2008 congress are now available online.

Poster Sessions

 
Poster presenters will be assigned a numbered poster board. Posters should be no more than 1 meter wide. The maximum height is 2 meters, but we recommend to design posters with a hight of up to 1 meter (see figure to the right).

Each accepted poster will be presented during one of the two poster sessions. These sessions run from 12 to 13.30 days two (session 1) and three (session 2) of the congress (see Program). Authors of posters will be asked to be present for discussion for most of their poster display. All presenting authors will be contacted individually regarding  allocation of poster session and poster board number.

Live Demo Sessions

The aim of the demo track is to have live computer demonstrations of high-profile neuroinformatics projects during the congress. Space, equipment (large screen, furniture etc) and infrastructure (internet connectivity etc) will be provided. However, we expect presenters to bring their own computer.

The format for demo submissions is the same as for poster contributions. In addition, selected projects may be invited to present.

Each accepted demo will be presented during one of the two demo sessions. These sessions run from 12 to 13.30 days two (session 1) and three (session 2) of the congress (see Program). Presenting authors will be contacted individually regarding demo session allocation and potential needs and requests concerning  furniture and hardware.

All selected projects will be featured with an article in the forthcoming INCF news letter in addition to being mentioned in the program and abstract book.
